Culture survives because people do it. They speak, drum, dance, cook, make, teach, remember, trade, name, and gather. The Abibifahodie Festival brings those verbs together so that Sankɔfa is not reduced to looking backward.
The festival joins the Abibitumi Conference on December 12–13, 2026, at Abibitumi Headquarters in Akuapem Mampong. Under the theme Construction of Black Civilization, cultural inheritance becomes material for building present and future institutions.
Families and children are essential to that continuity. So are artists, performers, vendors, educators, and elders whose practice holds knowledge that cannot be preserved by slogans alone. Arrive ready to participate, learn, support, and carry something forward.
Reserve December 12–13 and follow the official gathering page. Sankɔfa lives when recovered knowledge enters another generation.
