The Abibitumi Abibifahodie Film Festival is a D.O.O.R. (Decade of Our Repatriation) event.
Families often know which story should be recorded, yet memory is asked to wait. Before the festival, sit with one elder or family storyteller and record ten careful minutes with permission.
During AAFF, pay attention to how filmmakers use image, sound, place, and silence. Bring one method home and use it to preserve the next part of the family story with greater care.
